• Seema Sayyed, Manager

Seema is a post graduate in Mass Communication from Mumbai University. She has been associated with the Aastha project since 2004 working at different levels and positions, assuming the role of Manager when Aastha Parivaar was formed as an NGO in 2009.

She previously worked as a sub editor for Hindi eveningers and was in charge of features that covered topics like women issues, fashion, and movies. Seema has now worked in the HIV prevention field for 12 years. Working for Aastha Parivaar is not just a job but a passion for her. She has met amazing people and is always open to new ideas to improve her work. She starts her day on an enthusiastic and positive note and her ideal evenings are those spent with her family.

  • Riji Nair, Programme Manager

Riji Nair is a development professional working in the sector for over 10 yrs in different areas of health, education & water. Among the mentioned work areas, she has worked intensively for more than 7 yrs in the area of HIV/AIDS for marginalized population. She completed her graduation in Social work from Nirmala Niketan College of Social work, Mumbai and then pursued a diploma in Social Entrepreneurship from NMIMS, Mumbai.

She believes in team work and love to travel and meet different people. She has a friendly attitude which helps her to bind her team and execute perfection in her work. She sets targets and goals and believes is delivering the same.

  • Aarif Shaikh, Technical Coordinator

Aarif graduated from Mumbai University after majoring in History & Geography. He then pursued an MSW-Part -II from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

He has been associated with Aastha Parivaar since 2017 working as Technical Coordinator in Linkages project funded & supported by FHI-360.

  • Neelam Patil, Accounts Officer

Neelam graduated with a degree in commerce from University of Mumbai and she joined Aastha Parivaar in 2010. Previously, she worked with CORO for Literacy, an initiative under the Aastha project.

She is now responsible for maintaining accounts and coordinating with Aastha Parivaar’s 13 CBOs. Handling so many accounts is a little challenging, but she enjoys her work thoroughly. In the evenings, she loves to spend quality time with her loved ones.

  • Sameer Adavade, Office Assistant

Sameer completed his 9th standard and started working as an office assistant for a chartered accountant. He joined Aastha Parivaar in 2012 and since then has helped organize many meetings and events, ensuring that the work behind the scenes goes smoothly.

He loves photography and is seen capturing our events through his lens. His responsibilities also include welcoming our visitors and making them feel at home.

  • Manohar Dongare,  Accountant; FHI 360-LINKAGES Project

Manohar graduated with degree in commerce from Mumbai University and also has a diploma in computer programing from Ruia College, Mumbai in 1997. Also completed para-professional six months training course with Nirmala Nikentan in 1999.
He has vast experience of 20 years in NGO accounting, especially NGO Audit, Account finalization & training to NGO accountant. Previously he worked with Childline which works with Street Child, SOSVA – FHI project worked on HIV-AIDS Program & Om Creation trust which is working for mentally challenged women

He joined Aastha Parivaar in 2016 as Accountant for FHI 360-LINKAGES Project. He also takes active participation in Nagin Nagar Navaratrosav Mandal as Secretary & as treasurer in Parampujya Vijayswami Bhakt Parivar Mandal at Girgaon. He is fond of travelling to different places, loves to read books & listen to old hindi songs.

  • Vijaya Kanase, Programme Manager

Vijaya is a post graduate in M.A.Psychologyfrom Pune University. She has been in the field of health especially HIV/AIDS and TB since 2002 working with many organizations in different positions.

She previously worked as a Program Officer for TATA Institute of Social Sciences for their Saksham Program assisting TB patient of Mumbai district. Vijaya has now working with Aastha Parivaar under the Karnataka Health Promotion Trust (KHPT) OVC project.
She likes to travel at different places. Her hobbies include dancing and watching TV.
