Seema is a post graduate in Mass Communication from Mumbai University. She has been associated with the Aastha project since 2004 working at different levels and positions, assuming the role of Manager when Aastha Parivaar was formed as an NGO in 2009. She previously worked as a sub editor for Hindi eveningers and was in charge of features that covered topics like women issues, fashion, and movies. Seema has now worked in the HIV prevention field for 12 years. Working for Aastha Parivaar is not just a job but a passion for her. She has met amazing people and is always open to new ideas to improve her work. She starts her day on an enthusiastic and positive note and her ideal evenings are those spent with her family.

  • Ashish Bhosale, Project Coordinator

With a Masters in Management, Ashish has worked in the social development sector for the last 20 years. Specialising in capacity building and monitoring and evaluation, Ashish works with organisations to address the issues of livelihoods, HIV/AIDS/TB and health care. Ashish was integral in the founding of Aastha Parivaar’s 13 community based organisations, and enjoys seeing them grow and flourish now, 9 years later. Before working with Aastha Parivaar, Ashish held the position of Senior Programme Officer at the Family Planning Association of India. Ashish is also an active member of his church and enjoys serving as a pastor in his community.

  • Shafiqa Bagwan, Program officer- Monitoring and Evaluation

Shafiqa holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Pune as well as a diploma in software management. Coming to Aastha Parivaar with 12 years of experience as a social worker, she uses her problem solving, data analyzing, rapport building and presentation skills to catalyze sustainable change in the community. Her previous role was as an MIS officer, conducting data monitoring and evaluation with Social Activities Integration, which serves communities affected by HIV/AIDS and cancer. She loves that every day at Aastha Parivaar, whether she is holding trainings in the secretariat office or supporting the work of the CBOs in the field, she learns something new. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family as well as listening to romantic songs and gazals.

  • Neelam Patil, Accounts Officer
NeelamPatil

Neelam graduated with a degree in commerce from University of Mumbai and she joined Aastha Parivaar in 2010. Previously, she worked with CORO for Literacy, an initiative under the Aastha project. She is now responsible for maintaining accounts and coordinating with Aastha Parivaar’s 13 CBOs. Handling so many accounts is a little challenging, but she enjoys her work thoroughly. In the evenings, she loves to spend quality time with her loved ones.

  • Amit Kadam, Driver

Amit holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Mumbai and has completed a two year course in auto engineering. Instead of opting for a conventional job, he started working for Population Services International and later the NGO Social Activities Integration. With three and a half years of experience, he joined Aastha Parivaar in 2013.He believes that social work is his true calling and his position with Aastha Parivaar has helped him see the bigger picture in life. Working for the welfare of people gives him inexplicable joy and also gives him an opportunity to learn new things. He also loves to go on long drives whenever he finds time.

  • Sameer Adavade, Office Assistant

Sameer completed his 9th standard and started working as an office assistant for a chartered accountant. He joined Aastha Parivaar in 2012 and since then has helped organize many meetings and events, ensuring that the work behind the scenes goes smoothly. He loves photography and is seen capturing our events through his lens. His responsibilities also include welcoming our visitors and making them feel at home.

  • Jwaldan Lusha Dalmet, Technical Coordinator

Jwaldan Lusha Dalmet a graduate in sociology joined as Technical Coordinator with Aastha Parivaar in November, 2016 for FHI 360 LINKAGES project. Jwaldan started his social work career with the Aastha project from 2004 to 2008 .He was later associated Center for Development Initiatives. During his tenure with Aastha project he was selected as master trainer for peer, ORW, Advocacy and SHG(Aastha Gat) trainings.
He has a rich experience of working with various marginalized and underprivileged groups like, warli tribe, warli women and youth, handicraft artisans on the issues of child labor, gharkul scheme, education, fair trade practices etc. His last job was of a health coordinator with Public Health Foundation of India under District Network Model (DNM) in Thane District. He knows how to keep working place and conditions healthy and joyful and believes in the strength of teamwork. Acting, dancing and sports are some of his skills and he loves to be called as foodie.

  • Manohar Dongare – Accountant Aastha Parivaar FHI 360-LINKAGES Project
Manohar

Manohar graduated with degree in commerce from Mumbai University and also has a diploma in computer programing from Ruia College, Mumbai in 1997. Also completed para-professional six months training course with Nirmala Nikentan in 1999.
He has vast experience of 20 years in NGO accounting, especially NGO Audit, Account finalization & training to NGO accountant. Previously he worked with Childline which works with Street Child, SOSVA – FHI project worked on HIV-AIDS Program & Om Creation trust which is working on mentally challenged women

He joined Aastha Parivaar in 2016 as Accountant for FHI 360-LINKAGES Project. He also takes active participation in Nagin Nagar Navaratrosav Mandal as Secretary & as treasurer in Parampujya Vijayswami Bhakt Parivar Mandal at Girgaon. He is fond of travelling to different places and loves to read books & listening to old Hindi Song

  • Dr.Harsha Jagtap Jawalekar – – Technical Coordinator for Pune, FHI360 LINKAGES Project

Dr. Harsha has done her PhD in Women’s Studies Department. Her Thesis was on HIV/AIDS infected women in Vidharbha Region, She has also done her M.Phil (University 1st Topper & Gold Medalist) From MGAHVV, Wardha. As well as, she did Post Graduation in Medical Social Work in Psychology from Nagpur University. She did PG Diploma in Biostatics and Data Management from Indian Institute of Public Health,(PHFI), Hyderabad.During her PGDBDM, M.S.W. & M.Phil , she wasinvolved in various research project related to HIV/AIDS,TB,Cancer,IDSP Project and Rajeev Gandhi Arogyashree Scheme Project in AP state.

She also has an experience of working as M& E Assistant in PIPPSE Project,PHFI, Thane. She enjoys teaching Psychology, Sociology, health issues and research methodology.An ideal evening for her is one spent with her daughter and husband.
